Terms of Service

Last updated 03-11-2026

Jaylu is a personalised audio app made by Quantum Key Institute Pty Ltd (ABN 93 684 008 366) ("Quantum Key Institute", "we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Jaylu, the app at jaylu.app and any later app store version. By creating an account you agree to them, to the Health Notice and Disclaimer, to the Refund and Cancellation Policy and to the Privacy Policy. Current prices are on the pricing page.

1. What Jaylu is

Jaylu writes and records hypnosis, guided meditation and affirmation sessions for you from the answers you give it, in a voice you choose. The sessions are generated by software, including artificial intelligence, from the Quantum Key Institute's methods and scripts. They are made for relaxation, focus, confidence, sleep and general wellbeing.

Jaylu is not a medical, psychological or psychiatric service and does not give advice. Nothing in a session is a diagnosis or a treatment. Read the Health Notice and Disclaimer: it says who should not use Jaylu and when to stop.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or over and able to enter a contract. One account per person; the account is yours and may not be shared or sold. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details and devices secure.

3. Your answers and your sessions

You own what you tell Jaylu. You give us permission to use your answers to write, record and improve your sessions and to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Each session we make for you is licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial use: you can listen to it as often as you like, on your own devices, for as long as your account has access to it. You may not sell, publish, broadcast or redistribute sessions, use them in a business or a class, or use the voices in them for anything else.

The scripts, methods, fixed recordings, music, voices (including Luke Stringa's cloned voice) and software are owned by Quantum Key Institute or licensed to it and stay ours.

3A. Your own voice

On a plan without your own voice, we may offer you one Identity Rampage in your own voice as a free gift. The voice made for it is deleted once that session has been made; the Privacy Policy says how long the recording is kept.

If your plan includes it, you can have your sessions read in your own voice. You record yourself reading a short consent line, which includes a one-time code, and a short passage. We check that the code was spoken, and our voice provider, ElevenLabs, makes a synthetic copy of your voice from that recording. The first line of every session ("Welcome to Jaylu, by the Quantum Key Institute") stays in Luke Stringa's voice.

You may only record your own voice, speaking live. You must not record or play anyone else's voice, a recording of yourself or anyone else, or a voice someone has given you permission to use. By making your voice you confirm that it is yours and that you agree to it being used as this section describes.

Your voice is used only to read your own Jaylu sessions. We do not use it for anything else, we do not sell it or share it beyond ElevenLabs as our provider, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence. Sessions made in your voice are licensed to you like any other session (section 3).

You can delete your voice at any time from the menu. That deletes the voice model, your recording and every clip spoken in your voice; sessions you have already made in your voice stay in your library until you delete them. Deleting your account deletes your voice too. If your plan stops including your own voice, we keep it for 30 days and email you when that starts and again a week before; move back to a plan that includes it within those 30 days and it stays, otherwise we delete it and your recording (sessions you made in it stay in your library). We may also delete your voice, and sessions made in it, if we reasonably believe it is not your voice or that it is being misused.

4. Plans, trials and payment

What you pay for. Jaylu is sold as a subscription. The plans, what each one includes (such as how many new sessions a day) and the prices are on the pricing page and in the app before you pay. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Wherever you live, you pay the Australian dollar amount shown; your bank may convert it and may add its own fee.

Auto-renewal. A subscription renews by itself at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly, and your saved card is charged the plan price each time, until you cancel. Payments are taken by Stripe. Yearly plans get an email reminder before they renew.

The free trial. Your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial, with 1 new session a day. You give a card up front, but nothing is charged for those 7 days. When the trial ends, your plan starts and the full plan price is charged to that card on that day, and then every month or year after. The app shows the date and the amount before you start, and we email them to you straight away with a link to cancel. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged. One free trial per person: it is for new sign-ups only, not for an account that has had access before, whatever the email address.

Changing plans. Moving up to a bigger plan happens straight away; you pay the difference for the rest of the period. Moving down starts when the period you have paid for ends, with no credit. During a free trial a change is immediate and free.

The Library plan. If you cancel a plan you have paid for, we may offer the Library plan: a smaller monthly fee that keeps every session you have made ready to replay, with no new sessions. It is only offered when you cancel, it is not available if you cancel during or straight after a free trial without having paid, it has no free trial, and it renews and cancels like any other plan.

Cancelling. You can cancel online at any time, in the app under Menu, then Plan & billing, then Cancel subscription. We do not need a phone call or an email. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed, and you keep access until then. The Refund and Cancellation Policy says exactly what happens, including when a refund is due.

Refunds. Beyond the free trial, we do not refund the unused part of a period, except where the Australian Consumer Law or another law that applies to you requires it, or where the Refund and Cancellation Policy says we will. Nothing here limits those laws.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe tries the card again over the following days and emails you. If it still fails, your plan ends and your access stops. You can start again at any time within 90 days and everything is still there.

Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email before a new price applies to you. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it starts.

Discount codes. A discount code applies to the first months of a plan as the code says, then the plan goes to its normal price. One code per subscription, and we can end a code for new sign-ups at any time.

5. Fair use

Plans set a number of new sessions a day. Sessions are made one at a time and take a few minutes. You agree not to use Jaylu to make content for other people or businesses, to attempt to extract the scripts, voices or software, to interfere with the service, to use it in any way that is unlawful or harmful, or to try to make it produce content about harming yourself or anyone else.

6. Safety

If what you write shows you may be in danger of harming yourself or someone else, Jaylu will not make a session; it will show you how to reach people who can help, and that attempt will not count against your plan. Jaylu is not an emergency service and nobody monitors it in real time. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number.

7. Your recordings and your data

Your sessions stay in your library while your account has access. Ninety days after your access ends, recordings are deleted; one hundred and twenty days after, the rest of your session data is deleted. We email you before the recordings go. Your written and spoken answers are deleted seven days after each session is made. You can delete your whole account at any time from My profile, which removes everything immediately and cancels any subscription with no refund of the unused period. The Privacy Policy explains all of this, and what Jaylu remembers about you between sessions.

8. If Jaylu moves to a related company

Jaylu is run today by Quantum Key Institute Pty Ltd in Australia. We plan to move it to a related company owned by the same founders, in another country, in 2027. You agree that when that happens your account, your subscription on its current price and terms, your saved payment method held by Stripe, your sessions and the information needed to keep running Jaylu for you may be transferred to that company, and that it then takes our place under these terms. We will email you at least 14 days before the move. If you do not want to move, cancel before that date and your plan ends at the end of your paid period; nothing moves for an account that has been deleted. Your statement will show the new company's name after the move. The price you pay and the day you are charged do not change because of the move.

9. Availability and changes

We will do our best to keep Jaylu available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Sessions are generated by software and may occasionally contain mistakes, odd phrasing or a voice glitch; if a session is not right, use the notes screen after it or contact us and we will look at it. We may change, add or remove features, styles and voices, and may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email, and you will be asked to agree to the new terms before continuing.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Jaylu is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from use of a session against the Health Notice, while driving or doing anything that needs attention, or for a purpose it was not made for. Our total liability to you for anything arising from Jaylu is limited to the amount you paid us for Jaylu in the twelve months before the claim, or A$100 if you have paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Where our liability under such a guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

11. Ending the agreement

You can end it by deleting your account. We can suspend or end your account if you break these terms, with notice where reasonable, and we will refund any unused prepaid period if we end it for reasons other than your breach.

12. General

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and both of us submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms, the Health Notice and Disclaimer, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement for Jaylu. If you are also enrolled in a Quantum Key Institute program, your Client Agreement governs that program, not Jaylu.
